STEWARTIA pseudocamellia – A magnificent small to medium-sized pyramidal tree with dark green leaves changing to an autumn display of scarlet and reddish-purple. Camellia-like white flowers appear in mid summer. Has attractive reddish-brown exfoliating bark. Prefers organically rich, acid soil and sunny location protected from hot afternoon sun.
