Similar to Quaking Aspen, this tree has a narrow, pyramidal form when young that becomes more rounded with maturity. Carries typical aspen leaves with light green on top and silvery green underneath that provides the "shimmer".  Aspen trees are a haven for wildlife, as well. These larval hosts support populations of Eastern Tiger Swallowtail and Viceroy butterflies.
